I'm here, I've been running, I promise! In fact, 2 weeks ago was my longest yet (11 miles) which I completed at a 10:24 pace - that is INSANE for me to keep up that pace for that long. My weekday runs aren't going as well as the long runs - there always seems to be something that comes up that derails my plans. The integrity of my shorter runs, therefore, is suffering and I have less than 5 weeks to get my crap together.
AF is here, so I am a miserable bitch. Nuff said about that.
Something happened here that has really thrown me. A 13 year old little girl out for a run just a couple of miles away was murdered. They caught the bastard and have since discovered that he is a goddamn serial killer and they are building a case against him for the murder of several other women. She was killed on the same road I run on, just 2 miles from my usual route. It was a case of the poor little thing being in the wrong place at the wrong time and he took her almost as soon as she left home. It absolutely terrifies me that this can happen, and as the mother of a little girl it fills me with such rage I can hardly stand it.

Nyght, that is so horrible. Even with him caught, I'm sure that makes running outside hard. I know I'm already paranoid when I'm out when it's dark, which is a lot since that's when I have time.
