Great night!
After the doom and gloom of yesterday, I actually had a really positive day and a great workout tonight. We went to the gym as a family and Geneva went to the kids' gym. I ran an easy 3 miles (around a 10:00 pace; it was on the indoor track and I wasn't using the stopwatch - I miss my Garmin). Jon swam then ran (I actually was able to run a couple of laps with him, but I was a teeny bit too fast for him) and we then met up at the hydraulic weight machines. After that we got Geneva and hit the pool. It was so much fun and I am having that "wow I am so tired but I feel so good" moment. It was an awesome night!

I'm so glad you had a positive day after your low yesterday. I've certainly had many similar "down" feelings. You're certainly not the only one who doesn't have it all together.
ReplyDeleteMy 5yo son is going to start Kindergarten in the fall. I used to think those mommies who cried when their kids started school were silly. Now, I'm still months away and my eyes tear up even when I see stranger kids walking to school in their backpacks.
I miss nursing, too. It was such a special connection I had. As I look back over the past 5 years, everything is a small step towards the kid's independence. A little at a time. Probably because if it happened all at once, it would be way too much of a shock!
Oh, by the way, love the new haircut!
